Works as PC speakers over USB, and will also work as a netMD recorder after switching modes. CD and MD slot exposed by motorized front panel, activated by a “touch sensor” button. Can write discs through netMD using Sony's SonicStage or OpenMG software. Device playback can also be controlled using these programs. Can also record to MD from a CD directly at 4x speed.
The device has NO AUDIO INPUTS. Only way to write minidiscs is through netMD or a direct transfer from CD.
Unit appears to be nearly (if not exactly) a clone of the Sony LAM-Z10.
While it passes the testing app, like the rest of the LAM series it is unlikely to be supported by web/platinum minidisc. Update: The latest platinum minidisc (v1.2.0) added limited support for the LAM series.
